Embrace Passion. Discover Purpose. Let Joy Arise!

Life has a way of meeting us in moments that feel ordinary, chaotic, or downright overwhelming. Some days are filled with clarity and momentum; others arrive heavy with questions, disappointment, or exhaustion. Yet, woven into every experience—yes, even the uncomfortable ones—is a gift waiting to be discovered, if we are willing to pause long enough to see it.
This is a glimpse into my journey—one shaped by learning to recognize the beauty and the lessons life offers at every turn. I am, Coach Rahlynne, discovering how to embrace passion again, uncovering purpose with intention, and allowing joy to arise even after seasons that once felt impossible to survive. Through lived experience, I’ve come to understand that life’s challenges don’t arrive randomly. More often than not, they position us to live in purpose and on purpose.
There is a quiet strength that forms when we remember that trouble doesn’t last always. With each hurdle we overcome, confidence begins to rise—not in arrogance, but in assurance. We can say with conviction: If I overcame the last obstacle, I will be victorious in this one too. When challenges are met with the right mindset—when they are accepted, processed, and embraced rather than avoided—they often become the very catalyst that propels us toward our next breakthrough.
So many of us discover this truth only after a crisis has passed. Once the dust settles and the pain no longer defines the moment, we realize something powerful: the resolution wasn’t external—it was already within us. The strength, courage, wisdom, and resilience we needed were present all along, waiting to be activated.
It is in those moments that I fully grasp the depth of Yashua’s (the Most High’s) unmerited grace—freely given to those who trust and believe. His mercy meets us in our fragility, steadies us through the storm, and quietly prepares us for future triumphs… especially when life happens again. Because it will.
And if I’m being completely honest, I would be my most authentic self wearing a T-shirt that says: “Life Happens,” “Life Happened,” or my personal favorite, “What Had Happened Was." Because the truth is—life keeps happening. Again and again. Even to the strongest, the most faithful, and the most prepared among us.
But here’s the beautiful part: each time "Life Happens," we get another opportunity to choose growth over fear, purpose over pain, and joy over despair. And in that choosing, we don’t just survive—we rise.
Recognizing the Gift in Every Situation
There was a season in my life when my days felt repetitive—less like a purposeful journey and more like a merry-go-round that never slowed down. I had dreams. I carried aspirations close to my heart. Yet somehow, I felt suspended in place—moving, but not advancing. The weight of responsibilities pressed in, and fulfillment felt just out of reach, as if it belonged to a future version of me rather than the woman I was in that moment.

What I didn’t realize then was that nothing in my life was actually missing. Only my awareness.
Everything began to shift when I intentionally slowed down and started observing my surroundings with curiosity instead of frustration. I began to notice the quiet moments that had always been there—moments I had previously rushed past while waiting for “something bigger” to happen. In that stillness, I discovered that life was offering me gifts all along, just not in the packaging I expected.
As I reframed my perspective, I started seeing each day not as something to get through, but as an opportunity to grow, heal, and reconnect with myself. Simple things took on new meaning: the gentle smile of a stranger that reminded me I wasn’t invisible, the rhythm of birds singing outside my window grounding me in the present moment, the pause between tasks where my breath softened and clarity emerged.
These small, sacred details awakened something within me. They reminded me that presence is powerful—and that peace often lives in places we overlook when we are focused solely on the destination.
For many of us, especially after disappointment, betrayal, or prolonged stress, life can begin to feel transactional: survive the day, manage the pain, push forward. But when we learn to recognize the gift in each situation—even the uncomfortable ones—we reclaim our power. We stop postponing joy and start experiencing it in real time.
This practice doesn’t deny hardship. It doesn’t minimize struggle. Instead, it teaches us how to anchor ourselves in the now, where healing begins and resilience is built. When we learn to notice what is already supporting us, encouraging us, and shaping us, we discover that growth isn’t waiting on the other side of our circumstances—it’s unfolding right where we stand. And that awareness? It changes everything.
Embracing Passion in the Everyday
Once I began appreciating the subtle beauty woven into my days, something else became clear—I had unintentionally set my passions aside. Not because they no longer mattered, but because life became full. Responsibilities multiplied. Survival mode quietly took over. And like so many of us, I convinced myself I would return to what I loved when there was more time. But passion doesn’t wait patiently on the sidelines. It fades when ignored—and flourishes when invited back.
There came a day when I felt a gentle nudge to reconnect with a part of myself I had neglected for far too long. I pulled out my laptop and journal and began to write. When I was much younger, I loved writing poetry and reciting it to my parents. This time, however, something different emerged—I began writing children’s stories. Stories inspired by my own childhood experiences. Stories that had been resting quietly on my heart for years, waiting for space to breathe.

There was no plan. No pressure. No expectation. Just presence.
That small, intentional choice awakened something within me. With every keystroke, I felt more grounded… more alive… more me. And that, my friend was the origin of my book publishing house: Khabutchie Road Inspirations.
What surprised me most wasn’t the memories I recalled or the stories I captured—it was how deeply the process nurtured my spirit.
Creativity gave my emotions a place to land. It allowed me to express what I had struggled to articulate internally. In that sacred moment, joy didn’t arrive loudly or dramatically—it rose gently and quietly, reminding me that passion often returns in whispers long before it ever becomes a roar.
Embracing passion doesn’t require grand gestures or dramatic life changes. It simply asks us to make room. To honor the parts of ourselves that come alive when we are fully present. When we do, passion becomes a source of renewal—not another obligation added to an already full plate.
I invite you to reflect on your journey. What lights you up? What activity makes time seem to slow down—or disappear altogether?
Maybe it’s writing, gardening, cooking, dancing, playing an instrument, crafting, or learning something new. Whatever it is, your passion is not frivolous—it is essential. It fuels your joy, strengthens your resilience, and reconnects your soul to your sense of purpose.
Give yourself permission to explore again. Start small. Be curious. Let joy arise without needing it to be productive or perfect. And when you do, don’t keep it hidden—share that joy with the world. You never know how your courage to embrace what you love may give someone else permission to do the same.
Discovering Purpose through Reflection
As I continued my journey, I discovered that reflection became one of the most powerful tools for uncovering purpose. In a world that constantly urges us to keep moving, slowing down felt almost countercultural—but it was in those intentional pauses that clarity began to rise. When I took time to honestly assess where I was in life—without judgment or urgency—I started to hear my own inner wisdom more clearly.

Many days, I would retreat to my favorite nook with a warm cup of tea, my journal resting nearby. That quiet space became sacred. As I wrote, my thoughts softened and my emotions found language. Reflection gave me permission to explore not only where I had been, but where I was being gently led. It reminded me that insight often arrives when we create space to listen.
Through self-reflection—during both the joyful seasons and the not-so-easy ones—I began to identify the values that mattered most to me: family, community, healing, and personal growth. I noticed how these values had been present throughout my life, quietly shaping my decisions and drawing me toward meaningful connection. Over time, it became clear how deeply they were intertwined, forming a thread that pointed me toward my purpose.
That awareness eventually led me to answer a call that had been whispering for years—to step fully into my role as a life coach. Not as someone who had everything figured out, but as someone willing to walk alongside others, offering guidance, encouragement, and hope. Purpose didn’t arrive as a sudden revelation; it unfolded gradually, through reflection, obedience, and trust.
What I’ve learned along the way is this: purpose isn’t always found in monumental achievements or public recognition. Often, it blossoms quietly—in a listening ear, a timely word of encouragement, a moment of compassion shared with someone who feels unseen. Purpose lives in connection. It grows through service. And it expands each time we choose to show up with authenticity and care.
I encourage you to create your own moments of reflection. Pause. Breathe. Ask yourself what truly matters to you in this season of your life. Your purpose may already be revealing itself—not in grand gestures, but in the small, meaningful ways you impact the lives of others every single day.
Sometimes, all it takes is the courage to listen.
Learning to Let Joy Arise
Consider your life experiences for a moment. Which memories linger with warmth or meaning? What values rise to the surface when you reflect on them—connection, growth, faith, creativity, perseverance? Discovering purpose is rarely an overnight revelation; it is a layered journey, one shaped by awareness, intention, and the willingness to pause long enough to listen.
In the gentle glow of the morning light, a cup of coffee and an open book become more than a routine—they become an invitation. An invitation to slow down, to breathe, and to reflect on where you’ve been and where you are being led. These quiet moments, though simple, are often where clarity forms and the destiny ahead begins to take shape.

One of the most significant revelations I encountered along the way was the understanding that joy is often a choice. Rather than waiting for joy to arrive under perfect conditions, I chose to pursue it with intention.
Through small, consistent practices—gratitude journaling, creative writing, honoring my temple through fitness training, and practicing mindfulness—I began to cultivate joy as a daily discipline rather than a distant reward.
These rituals grounded me, reminding me that joy is not separate from responsibility; it can live within it.
One afternoon, while strolling through a local farmer’s market, I paused to take in the richness of the moment—the vibrant colors of fresh produce, the comforting aroma of baked goods, the sound of laughter drifting through the air. I watched children laugh freely, adults engage in friendly conversation, and older couples walk hand in hand. In that moment, I allowed myself to be fully present. I wasn’t rushing to the next task or replaying yesterday’s concerns. I simply received the moment, and joy arose naturally from life unfolding around me.
So often, we juggle many roles—caregiver, professional, friend, leader—sometimes forgetting to pause long enough to appreciate the joy woven into each one. Learning to let joy arise doesn’t require a dramatic change in circumstances. Sometimes, it’s as simple as giving yourself permission to pause, to notice, and to be present amid your responsibilities.
Joy is not always loud or dramatic. Often, it arrives quietly—waiting for us to slow down enough to recognize it. When we do, we discover that joy has been with us all along, gently inviting us to choose it, again and again.
